Eleven months and the First Fireworks of the Year.

June 5, 2015: It's been eleven months since I adopted Tommy from the shelter.  I'm so glad that I decided to bring her home. She keeps be busy and most of the time laughing (or at least smiling). She likes hanging out by the balcony screen and we occasionally venture out on the balcony together although she hates her harness. She sometimes walks out on the balcony untethered, but stays near the wall and under the chairs. She did sneak out today as I took a photo of all the sailboats. I didn't notice, but when I closed the screen, there she was sitting by the door waiting to be let back inside. I guess I'll have to do a better job of blocking the opening when I'm taking a picture.

June 6, 2015: The first of the fireworks of summer started at 9:30 P.M. and this year Tommy was not as disturbed by them. At first she stayed close to me, but after some reassuring petting she ventured over near the balcony door to watch them. She did retreat once the finale began with the continuous loud booming.
