Tommy came on the bed to sleep sometime during the night, but must have been quiet enough not to wake me.  In fact, she didn’t wake me until almost 6:15 this morning.  She spent most of the time before we got out of bed near my head on my left side.  That’s her usual place to wake me and make sure that I get out of bed.
The morning was spent doing my morning Tommy chores and some general cleaning in the kitchen. Just one more room (the study) to do and then the whole condo will be clean and organized again.  As I was cleaning, Tommy came into the kitchen and called for me to stop, I guess and play because once I started moving she went right to her tissue paper pile and sat there.  Of course I felt obliged to take a break and play with her, so out came the fleece teaser. We as always had a great time.
Play time done, I started some laundry and then Tommy’s dreaded tooth brushing. I got everything ready and went to pick her up.  She didn’t squirm, but did “talk” to me. She wasn’t yelling, but it almost seemed like pleading that I shouldn’t do what I was about to do.  I put her on the table and she didn’t try to jump down.  There was a minimal amount of squirming, but she readily let me open her mouth and give her teeth a good brushing. The brushing went quickly because she cooperated and she got her treat right away.
She then went to sit in the sun, so I went to work on postings. It wasn’t long before Tommy came to get some attention.  Once she had gotten as much attention as she wanted, she jumped down and went to the living room to await another round of hunt for the teaser among the tissue paper. We played quite a few rounds of this throughout the afternoon.  Tommy occasionally would sit on the teaser and then wonder why it wasn’t moving.
I was meeting friends to watch the Packer game at a local establishment, and since Tommy was taking her afternoon nap (she isn’t into sports) all was good. When I returned Tommy was happy to see me, perhaps because dinner hadn’t been served. I got her dinner ready and even though it was still quite cold, she ate some of it.
We spent the rest of the night relaxing. When it was time for bed, Tommy was already resting on her rug in the bedroom. I got into bed and put out her snack. She stayed on the rug and I thought I might be in trouble for being gone at the usual dinner hour. I short time later though, Tommy jumped up on the bed, ate her snack and curled up on the bed. It seemed that all was well.
