Tommy and I had a pretty quiet morning. We did the usual chores and I did some additional cleaning.  We had some time for play and then it was time to meet friends to watch the Packer game and go out for dinner. Before I left I gave Tommy a small portion of canned food since I wouldn’t get back until after her usual late afternoon meal.
When I returned Tommy greeted me at the door, I put out her food to warm, and she went to the study where we had some fun with her chasing the light. Once my neck was completely stretched, we retired to the sofa for a while before resuming play among the tissue and wrapping papers.
I realized after we finished that I had forgotten to give her the evening meal, so I quickly set it out.  Tommy ate and I moved to the bedroom to recline while watching television.  I, of course, fell asleep and didn’t wake up until it was very late.
I went to turn off all the lights and lock up for the night. There was Tommy sitting on her chair in the study waiting for me.  I picked her up and carried her to the bed and then I went out and finished closing down the condo.
Tommy came out to supervise. When I went back into the bedroom she didn’t follow right away, but once she heard me get out her snack, she came right in and stood by the bed.  Once I was in bed, Tommy jumped up, ate her snack, and then curled up in her usual spot. We were again ready to sleep.
