Tommy woke me up around 6:20. Either she’s learning to tell
time or she’s adjusting based on something else. I took a bit longer to get up and Tommy used
her nagging voice to get me motivated.
While she ate I went to the study where Tommy joined me after
eating. We spent some time petting,
purring and printing. I’m sure that everyone can figure out who did what.
Missions accomplished, we went to the living room. By the
time I got there, Tommy was sitting on the table where some of her toys were
placed. I took this as a sign that Tommy wanted to play. She didn’t seem very
enthusiastic, but once she moved to the bedroom where it was slightly warmer,
she played with the fleece teaser on the bungalow. When she pulled the teaser
back into the living room and went to check out what was happening outside, I
knew that play time had ended.
While Tommy looked out from the top of her scratching post at
the lakefront, I talked to my sister on the phone. Tommy then left to enjoy
some quiet time laying in the sun in the study.
Tommy came out to check on me and I figured that it was time to brush
her teeth. She was very cooperative and we finished quickly, she then had her
hairball treats and grass.
I went to the computer to check on things and Tommy joined me
up on the desk. The sun was shining on the desk, so she just sat and enjoyed
the sun while I worked. When the sun left the study, so did Tommy. She went to enjoy
the view from the living room sofa.
Once I finished my work, I spent some time with Tommy on the
sofa before getting ready to go to a movie with a friend. Before leaving I spent some time with Tommy and
got out her dinner since I would be gone during her regular dinner time and wouldn’t
get back until a couple hours after dinner.
After the movie I returned to see that Tommy hadn’t eaten
much of her dinner. Since it was not warm I left it out and she ate it after we
had some “together time.” Since the
bedroom is always one of the warmer places in the condo I went to lay down on
the bed. Tommy joined me for a little while but then left to play in the living
room. I guess that my falling asleep while watching television helped her opt
for some solo play time.
When I got ready for bed, Tommy came in to check on her
snack. I put it out, she ate it and then left for a little more alone time in
the living room. I’m sure that she’ll be back on the bed to enjoy the warmth
once she gets tired and is ready to sleep.
