I woke up twice during the
night and both times I saw that Tommy was sleeping up on the foot of the
bed. She definitely must like that
fleece blanket. At 5:00 Tommy woke up and crawled up by me. After making sure I
was awake she curled up next to my head for a while. When she got up again, we
began our daily tussle over what time I’d actually get out of bed.
I finally gave up around 6:15
and got Tommy her breakfast. After
breakfast she again wanted her grass although I didn’t actually see her eat
any, she just seemed to want to tip it over.
After I put away the grass, Tommy went back to the bedroom and rested on
the bed.
When I went to give her a
morning treat/hairball treatment, she ate them and soon came out to bask in the
sun by the balcony. When I came over by her she immediately rolled over for a
tummy and neck rub. Once I finished, she
sat for a while, but then went and sat near the bedroom door. She called out
and led me into the bedroom where she sat by the bed.
I hadn’t made the bed yet, so
I made the bed. She then walked over by the window and sat there. I opened the blinds and then she waked away.
I guess I wasn’t completing my tasks soon enough for my little princess. When
she sat on her rug, I knew I was done and returned to the living room. Tommy then came out and again sat in the sun
having finished her supervisory tasks.
I worked on various projects
during the day and Tommy napped. We played a little, but she was more
interested in getting her beauty sleep or being left alone; I’m not sure which
one it was. I went to the fitness center and when I returned I got out her
dinner, so it would lose its chill.
After I served her dinner and
ate my own, I went to get my haircut. It took quite a bit longer than I
expected and I came home to find an upset pet.
She spent the rest of the evening ignoring me. At one point she was laying on the bed and I
also went and reclined there. She
tolerated that for about ten minutes before leaving the room.
I finally gave up and went to
bed. I’m not placing any bets that Tommy
will be sleeping on the bed tonight much less even being in the bedroom. She’s in one of her moods and I can only hope
that she wakes up with a cheerier disposition.
